Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ReelDub (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the ReelDub app. We built ReelDub to dub the videos you own into other languages, and we aim to collect as little as possible to do that well.

The short version

• You choose which videos to dub. We don't browse your library.
• To dub a clip, audio and transcript content is processed off your device by trusted AI processors — only when you start a dubbing job.
• We don't sell your personal data or use it to track you across other apps and websites.
• You preview the result and decide what to save or share.

Information we process

Content you submit for dubbing

When you start a dubbing job, the app extracts the audio from the video you selected and sends audio and/or transcript text to AI processing services to transcribe, translate and re-synthesize the speech in your chosen language. This processing happens off-device (in the cloud). We send only what is needed to perform the dub, and only when you explicitly start a job. The app discloses cloud processing before you begin.

Information you give us directly

The app itself does not ask for or collect your email address or account details. Separately, if you join the launch waitlist on this website or email our support address, we receive the email address and any message you send so we can reply or notify you about availability.

Technical & diagnostic information

The app writes basic diagnostic logs on your device to help it run reliably. These logs stay on your device — the app does not include analytics or crash-reporting tools and does not transmit usage or crash diagnostics to us or to third parties.

How we use information

• To perform the dubbing you request and return the result to your device.
• To operate, maintain and improve the app.
• To respond to support requests and, if you opted in, to tell you when ReelDub launches.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse.

Third-party processors

Dubbing relies on third-party AI providers that perform transcription, translation and voice synthesis. These providers process the content you submit on our behalf to deliver the result. We choose providers that commit to appropriate security and data-handling practices. We do not authorize them to use your content to build or train their own products beyond what is needed to provide the service to us.

Data retention

We aim to minimize retention. Content submitted for a dubbing job is processed to produce your result and is not kept longer than necessary to provide and support the service. Waitlist and support emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed.

Your rights & choices

• You decide which videos are dubbed and what is saved or shared.
• You can ask us to delete your waitlist or support information at any time.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data — contact us to exercise them.

Children

ReelDub is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice.
